2026 PAUSAW Season Schedule

Kids Groups (8U, 10U and 12U) will use Madison system weights for all PAUSAW Tournaments.
This will ensure more matches and better weight-age matchups.
**14U will continue using standard USAW weight classes.**

Weigh-in: 11:00am - 11:45am
Wrestling Begins: 12:30 pm

If wrestling both styles, only one weigh-in is required.

$25.00 per style (Greco-Roman OR Freestyle)

$40.00 for both styles

Note: If you plan on wrestling in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle, you must register for both tournaments.

Top 4 advance to states and receive medals

8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U

PAUSAW reserves the right to combine weight classes to ensure each wrestler has matches.

Wrestlers may double-bracket in two weight classes within their division. Wrestlers may enter one age division up, with exceptions. 14U and below may NOT wrestle in 16U or Junior divisions.	*Double-bracketed athletes waive mandatory rest time between matches.*

PAUSA State Championships – Qualifier

This tournament serves as a qualifier for the PAUSAW State Championships. Athlete must place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th at one of the listed qualifiers to be eligible to compete in the State Championships. If you qualify in Greco, you automatically qualify in Freestyle (and vice versa). You may go up or down in weight at the State Championships, but you must qualify in your age division.

NOTE!!! - MADISON WEIGHT CLASSES FOR 8U – 10U and 12U ONLY!!!!

We will be using a Madison system for these age groups so that the wrestlers will get matches when traveling to a qualifier.
Our first priority would to be is to group the same age group to get them matches but PA/USA Wrestling will use its good judgement to move a wrestler up a weight class to get them matches.
Each wrestler will have the right to refuse the merger and movement but will not wrestle in the event and forfeit their entry fee.

We plan to merge weight classes based on a 10% weight differential.

In the event there are not enough competitors to make a 5 person bracket within a division, mergers with other age or experience levels may be required in order to guarantee matches.
Tournament organizers will make merger decisions based on age, experience, and weight to ensure a competitive, fun, and safe environment.
Competitors will be notified if they are moved into a different bracket and have the right to refuse to compete if so, resulting in a refund.

USA Wrestling Membership

2025-2026 USA Wrestling Cards are MANDATORY at every tournament and must be purchased online prior to registering for the tournament. Athlete Membership can be purchased, through USA Wrestling at https://www.usawmembership.com/index.jsp.
COACHES: A Wrestling Leader Membership card is required to coach at all PAUSAW events. Please be sure to have a copy of them on hand.
